St. John’s Water

A rural tradition of Umbrian farmers is to prepare the “scented water” on St. John the Baptist’s Eve. Flowers and herbs are left in water for the night and the following morning all the family uses this water to refresh and purify the body.

INFORMATION FOR THE TREKKING:

7:00 pm – meeting point at the Church of St. John the Baptist in Prugneto – Perugia. Guided walk of about an hour to pick up the right flowers. Snack with torta al testo and wine on the way.

What you need: trekking shoes, a basket for the harvest
