Cantine aperte
Una passeggiata d’altri tempi in una mattina assolata che bacia tutta la piana di Bevagna.
Cantine Aperte, partenza dalla cantina Caprai, camminando tra i vigneti di Sagrantino e Rosso Montefalco, abbiamo raggiunto Bevagna e lì spuntino rustico con panini e ottime ciliege, quando ormai l’appetito cominciava a farsi sentire. Una breve passeggiata nel borgo, sempre piacevole, osservando i preparativi frenetici per l’imminente “Mercato delle Gaite”, la rievocazione medievale che si tiene a Bevagna durante la terza settimana di giugno.
Costeggiando il torrente Timia, un viale con filari di pioppi ci ha riportato alla Cantina, dove ci aspettava una rinfrescante “Panzanella”, ottima, salumi e formaggi, bagnati da un Grecante eccezionale.
Ci vediamo l’anno prossimo per un’altra passeggiata in vigna!
My name is Kaylene amd I am from New Zealand. I had the pleasure of doing the Cantine aperte recently in May 2012. The walk was fantastic, through vineyards to a village and then walking back through the beautiful countryside. The commentary was excellent and very informative – I learnt a lot about grapes, wine making and history of the area. We also enjoyed a lovely snack with the best cherries I have ever tasted – this was at the half way point and then we enjoyed a gorgeous glass of wine and a local dish that was delicious, at the conclusion of our walk. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed the company of lots of great people.
